Resume Building

What information should I include in my resume?

|

Try to focus on these points in your resume:

• Past work history and dates of employment
• Relevant certifications, patents, academic accolades if applicable
• Awards & greatest professional accomplishments

Should I include extracurricular activities, volunteer work, projects, memberships I hold, classes I am taking.

|

Absolutely! This helps us get to know even more about you, your passions outside of work, and your hidden talents. We’re a start up so being able to wear multiple hats and/or bring a variety of skills to your work only adds more value.

Finding your perfect fit at Leap

Do you offer entry level positions?

|

Yes, we offer a wide variety of opportunities ranging from entry level to senior management. All current openings are posted on our career site, Indeed, LinkedIn and Builtin.

Do you have part-time positions?

|

The vast majority of our retail positions across the nation are part-time in nature and are included on our (include title of job list) page under the category of "Field Roles."

What if I need to relocate?

|

Apply to the job as you normally would. If a recruiter contacts you about a job, be sure to let them know about your relocation needs. Many of our corporate open positions offer relocation financial support. If the particular position does not have a relocation budget available, the recruiter will confirm this information and notify you.

What if I am not actively searching for a new role and want to do an introduction call with Leap?

|

We totally get it! Looking for a new role takes time and is a big decision! Our recruitment team is focused on our current role vacancies and are happy to refer you to Leapers internally to conduct informational interview calls. If this is the case, we ask that you submit your information in the (“stay in touch”) section and request an informational interview. A member of the Leap team will reach out to you within five business days.

Applying for a Job

What’s the best way to apply for a job at Leap?

|

Directly apply to job posting on the “Job openings” page. We also post our open roles on Indeed, LinkedIn and Builtin

How long does it take the recruitment team to review my application?

|

Generally, we respond to applications within 5-7 business days. We so appreciate your patience!

What if I haven’t heard back about the status of my application?

|

If you submitted your application and have not been contacted in seven days, send a note to careers@leapinc.co. If you have been contacted by an internal team member, please reach out to them directly as they will be happy to provide information to you.

Do you have an employee referral program?

|

We sure do! A significant portion of our hires have come from employee referrals, and we encourage you to reach out to friends and family members who currently work at Leap.

Interviewing with us

What are the steps of the hiring process?

|

Here’s what you can expect:

• Apply online through our website or applicable job boards
• Initial phone interview with a member of the hiring team
• 2- 3 step virtual and/or in person interview process (speak with extended Leaper team, live activities/exercises for technical roles, values conversation with sr. leaders, and more!)
• Offer & reference checks

How long will the interview process take?

|

The overall interview process time for roles varies. In general, the process for our in-store retail positions is approximately one to two weeks. The process time for corporate roles is generally three to six weeks.

What can I do to prepare for interviews?

|

Here are a few tips we’ve heard from recent new hires.

1. Review the role description, key responsibilities, and outcomes for success.
2. Prepare yourself to talk about relevant past work experience and how your roles and career have evolved with time.
3. Don’t be shy with sharing awards and past accomplishments.
4. Tell us what excites you about Leap and the role available.
5. Be yourself!

How will I know what type of interview will be conducted?

|

Your recruitment partner or the hiring manager will let you know ahead of time so you are well-prepared and set up for success.

Requests

How do I request accommodations if I need them?

|

No problem. If you find that you might require a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process due to a disability, reach out to the designated recruiter directly.

A reasonable accommodation includes any adjustment or change to the application or hiring process, the way the job is done, or the work environment that allows a person with a disability to perform the essential functions of that job. Examples of reasonable accommodations may include having interviews in a location that is accessible to you, having documents read to you if necessary, longer interview times, etc.

How long does it usually take for a hiring decision to be made?

|

As a general practice, you will hear back from a recruiter or hiring manager within five business days post-interview. With some positions this may extend longer than a week, and the designated recruiter will be sure to let you know if there's a delay.
